    Configuring Your Router for IPv6

    ASUS Modems & Routers

    Steps to enable IPv6:

    1. Log in to your gateway using the login details found on the back of the device.
    2. From the left-hand menu, click IPv6.
    3. Set the Connection Type to Native.
    4. Configure the following options:
    • DHCP-PD: Enabled
    • Auto Configuration Setting: Stateless
    • Connect to DNS Server Automatically: Enabled
    • Enable Router Advertisement: Enabled
    1. Click Apply to save your changes.
    2. Reboot your modem/router. IPv6 settings should take effect once the connection is active.

    NetComm Modems & Routers

    Steps to enable Dynamic IPv6 routing:

    1. Open a browser and go to 192.168.20.1.
    2. Enter your router username (default is admin) and password (check the label on the back of the device).
    3. Once logged in, select Internet from the main menu.
    4. Set the Connection Type:
    • Choose VDSL if you have a Fibre to the Node (FTTN) connection.
    • Choose ETH WAN for all other connection types.
    1. Click More Options, then go to IP Protocol.
    2. Select IPv4/IPv6.
    3. Enable both:
    • DHCPv6 (IANA)
    • DHCPv6 (IAPD)
    1. Click Update to save your changes.

    NETGEAR Modems & Routers

    Steps to enable Dynamic IPv6 routing:

    1. Log in to your gateway using the credentials printed on the back of the device.
    2. Navigate to AdvancedAdvanced SetupIPv6.
    3. Set DHCP to use the same server listed under Internet Connection Type.
    4. Reboot your modem/router. IPv6 settings should apply automatically once the connection is re-established.
