Most standard NBN™ activations take 2 to 10 business days once your order is submitted.
If your address is already NBN-connected, activation can often happen within a few hours.
More complex installations, such as new developments, multi-unit sites or those needing extra wiring, may take up to three weeks.
The type of modem or router you need depends on the NBN technology at your property, such as FTTP, HFC or FTTN. We can help you choose the right device or supply a preconfigured modem or router that works straight out of the box. If you already have your own equipment, we can check compatibility before your service is activated.
If your property has not yet been connected to the NBN™ or is still waiting for rollout, we can look at alternative fibre or fixed wireless options to get you connected sooner. Our team can also assess community or building-wide solutions and provide advice on costs, equipment and installation timelines.
We always aim to deliver the fastest possible speed available to your connection type. Actual speeds can vary depending on factors such as your internal wiring, Wi-Fi strength, number of devices in use and the time of day. Properties connected to fibre networks such as FTTP, Opticomm or LBN Co typically experience more consistent speeds than FTTN or HFC connections.
